At the heart of the Christian life is the fundamental claim that God is here, among us, around us, and within us. God becomes known through the material stuff of this world, not through our efforts to escape the physical in favor of some kind of abstract spirituality.
The ancient and sacred guideposts into this tangible, experiential relationship with God are what the church has long called ‘sacraments’. Sacraments are where the visible and invisible come together to change human lives and draw them into deeper union with God.
Join us on June 4 from 6-8pm for dinner and conversation about the foundational Christian sacraments of baptism and Eucharist. Learn what the Episcopal Church teaches about these divine mysteries and bring whatever questions you might have as we explore together what it means to claim that Christ is at work in the sacraments.
Dinner is provided. Please email Jacob at jtaylor@adventcincy.org to RSVP.
